Why this happens: Microsoft requires apps to build “SmartScreen reputation” through downloads before warnings disappear. As an indie developer, this takes time. A code signing certificate is on our roadmap.

Common questions

Is LTAI safe?▼

Yes. LTAI doesn't record, save, or share any audio. Speech is processed in real time and discarded. The only data we store is your account email and subscription status (via Supabase). Source code transparency comes through published GitHub releases at github.com/DeSKhan/ltai-releases.

Why does Windows warn me about the file?▼

Windows SmartScreen warns about apps it hasn't seen many times yet. This is standard for indie apps. The warning disappears for everyone once enough people install it. Code signing certificates speed this up, and getting one is on our roadmap.

Does LTAI work on Mac or Linux?▼

Not yet. Windows only for now. Mac support is on our roadmap, along with a browser extension that will work on any device that runs Chrome.

How do updates work?▼

LTAI auto-updates silently in the background. When a new version is available, it installs the next time you launch the app. No reinstalling required.

Can I uninstall it normally?▼

Yes — uninstall through Settings → Apps like any other Windows program. No leftover files, no registry pollution.
