Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LTAI ("the Service"), a desktop application that translates audio into live subtitles. By installing, accessing, or using LTAI, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

LTAI captures audio from your computer and uses third-party AI services to transcribe and translate it into subtitles displayed as an on-screen overlay. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with usage tiers as described on our Pricing page.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use LTAI. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through our payment processor, Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges to your selected payment method until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until that time. We do not provide refunds for partial months.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Translate or distribute content you do not have the legal right to use
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute output of the Service without permission
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or related infrastructure
• Share your account with others or use multiple accounts to evade usage limits

7. Content and intellectual property

You retain all rights to the audio content you process through LTAI. We do not claim ownership over any of your inputs or outputs. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to translate the content you use the Service with.

The LTAI software, brand, and all related intellectual property remain our exclusive property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

8. Third-party services

LTAI relies on third-party services including OpenAI for translation, Supabase for authentication and data storage, and Paddle for payment processing. By using LTAI, you also agree to the terms and privacy policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the actions, policies, or content of third parties.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep LTAI running smoothly but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service depends on third-party providers and may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by Service unavailability.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Translation output is generated by AI and may contain errors. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements or be error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LTAI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by using the "Delete account" option in the app, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, with or without notice. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of North Macedonia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Skopje, North Macedonia.
